I was interested to see the photos of the former Candy Spelling mansion as pictured onh HGTV Front Door.com. It was built by Aaron and Candy Spelling over a period of four years in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles. Mr Spelling wrote Beverly Hills 90210, Charlie’s Angels, and Dynasty. When it was on the market, it was not only the largest home in Los Angeles, but the most expensive residential listing in the United States at $150 million. It sold to a 22 year old heiress. Candy Spelling sold the home in order to down size to a 16,000 square foot penthouse.
The motor court holds up to 100 cars.
Inside, the foyer was modeled after Tara in the movie Gone With the Wind.
This living room doubles as a projection room. A control panel allows you to bring out black out curtains, framed paintings slide up to reveal projection equipment and a screen comes up from the floor. The house has 123 rooms. There are multiple living rooms, three kitchens, 14 bedrooms, and 27 bathrooms.
The custom dining table will seat 30.
The library housed every script that Aaron Spelling ever wrote.
The mansion has a bowling alley, gift wrapping room, hair salon, and even a doll room.
Lamp posts are Parisian… there are fountains and a manicured 4.7 acres.
Of course there is a pool and there are tennis courts.
No matter where you live, create and be happy!
