A long time ago I told you that our daughter, Kathleen, and her husband, Patrick, had purchased a home built in the 1950’s and they were going to have it remodeled.  Here is the picture of the home shortly after they purchased it last September.

They added a second story and pushed out the back.  This is the photo of the house under construction.

The landscaping is not finished, but here is a photo of how it looks today.  I think that you will agree that there has been quite a change.

Yesterday Patrick added this nice pea gravel pathway to the back of the house. The four windows above the path are in the sunroom which is adjacent to the kitchen.

There is much, much, more to come.  There will be photos of landscaping, beautiful custom molding over the front oval window, an 1880’s fireplace surround, Calcutta marble back splash in the kitchen, dark wood floors, and spacious rooms.  I promise to report back just as soon as I can get over there to take the photos.  I went tonight but the batteries in my camera were dead.  The best news is that the second floor nursery will have a baby sleeping there in November!

Create and be happy!
