Once upon a time we lived in Wilmington, Delaware and we had a yearly pass to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Now, we are too far away but I still have the yearning to see the beautiful conservatory dressed up for Christmas and to explore the grounds. This post will be fun for me and for you. Relax and enjoy these beautiful photographs. Somewhere along the way you may discover an idea for your own home or garden. The pictures come from Pinterest and they are images that have been taken over the span of several years.

My fondest memory of Longwood happened one fall day when we went to see the fall displays. First we went through the conservatory to see the spectacular mums and then we went along the foot paths to see the stunning vistas and small garden moments that had been created. As I rounded a turn there on a bench with golden leaves all around and a pond in the background were five Amish boys and girls sitting in a row . It was a remarkable sight….how I wished I could have taken a picture, but I knew that Amish people do not like to be photographed so I tried to memorize every detail. I am thinking about it now with a smile on my face.
I hope that you have many moments this Christmas season that bring a smile to your face. Create and be happy!
