Is it safe to say that spring is finally here? After all, the Girls’ State Basketball Tournament in Iowa is over. It always snows during that tournament. My friend in Washington D.C. says that the cherry blossom trees in the Tidal Basin are thinking about blooming. But, the best indicator that I know is that the forsythia bushes are in bloom…and they are glorious! We had one outside the back door of our home in Iowa when I was growing up. It was one of those bushes that had been there for many years and it grew in a natural shape with branches that seemed to reach for the sky. Maybe they absorbed the sunshine and then reflected it back out again for us all to enjoy. What other than sunshine could be so yellow and so vibrant?
