I thought that it would be fun to play a little game. I am going to show you an exquisite home that belongs to a celebrity. It is currently for sale for 12.5 million dollars. See if you can guess who lives here. The answer comes near the middle of the post.

This is the main house. Note the palm trees….must be in the South.
There are beautiful plantings on the grounds.
…plantation shutters, hanging ferns….love, love, love!!!
Of course I am crazy about the sea shell encrusted table. Could be near the water.
The foyer features very traditional furniture, elegance is the word.
This is one of my top ten all time favorite rooms.
The loggia lets in lots of light.
Not everyone has a bathroom large enough for a sofa.
The next room is a big hint…..
Who lives in the South near the water, and would have a beautiful kitchen and a home that screams “Southern charm?”
No center island. Instead, she chose to have a long farmhouse table.
I want a walk in pantry. Then, I could buy even more dishes.
My family would certainly love the game room.
Don’t think I ever saw a swimming pool with real fish before.
There are two guest houses on the property.
It just oozes Southern charm just like its owner. So, that brings up an interesting point. Should houses reflect the people who live there? Can you tell when you go in the front door, what the interests are of the inhabitants? I think that if a house is done well, it does have such a reflection. Look around your room to see if you have left hints that you live there. If you are a reader, are there books? If you love the ocean are there shells and maybe pictures of the water? Are you a world traveler? If so, perhaps you have interesting artifacts from the many countries that you have visited.
Create and be happy!

I did not guess Paula Deen from the photos but it makes sense when you see the kitchen. Love the sofa in the bathroom!
